Jim and TerePark cable tv outlet
Anyone have any ideas about how to install a cable TV outlet for the front TV in my 85 Regal? It's currently set up for only the roof antenna. There's a cable outlet in the rear bedroom, but it services just the bedroom. I really don't want to see cable wires inside the Barth. Thanks!

olroyIf you have a cable outlet in the rear bedroom, there must be an inlet somewhere outside the coach. Otherwise you ain't gonna get no cable signal nowhere inside the coach.
Find that inlet, & trace your cable run from there. You might find a signal splitter that already has a cable running to the front of the coach.
Barring that, you're going to have to install a splitter somewhere & run a separate line to the front. One alternative is to install the splitter at the inlet, run a cable underneath the coach to someplace you can bring it up through the floor, & carry it up to an overhead cabinet as unobtrusively as possible, perhaps up a windshield corner post.
You might also be able to split the signal at the existing cable outlet, run the new cable up a corner of the wall & through your overhead cabinets to the front. With either alternative, it's unlikely you'll be able to install it without cable visible somewhere in the coach. The trick is finding the most unobtrusive way to do it. You'd be surprised how quickly a little black cable disappears when it's run up a windshield post, the edge of a window frame, or a corner of the wall.
Start figuring out how you might run the cable, inside or outside, & find the route that results in the easiest installation, with least amount of cable exposed in the most unobtrusive place.

RaymagOn my Breakaway the cable input connector is located in the power cord compartment. It then runs up into the upper kitchen cabinet beside the microwave. It follows inside all the upper cabinets until it reaches the TV in the front.
If you don't have one already installed, running the cable thru the upper cabinets is probably the easiest way to do it.

Sloop John BHi; Our Regal has cable to both front and rear , as I found out at the one and only private campground we have visited. It is connection next to the main 50 Amp power plug and shares the port with the phone line ( have not used the phone yet). We carry a small DVD player to watch Net Flixs at state parks, we are working on a Dish setup to use.

RustyMine has both a cable and satellite connector on the exterior left, although the prior owner replaced it with a connector inside the waste tank dump compartment.
