isolation tape
Barth used some kind of an isolation strip of cloth wherever the lower aluminum skirting attached to the 1" square tubing used in the sub frame to attach storage boxes, skirting, etc. There are some places where the rivets have come loose and the isolation strip is gone. The stuff was probably 1 1/2" wide and about the thickness of tar paper. It seems to be some kind of fabric embedded with some kind of tar-like material. Does anybody know what it is or what would be good to replace it? I don't want to use roofing felt because I think it would quickly deteriorate. Maybe some kind of fiberglass tape? Any ideas?

Is it "Duct Tape"?

I hung a rear quarter panel on my coach and that is what I found... Likewise, that is what I put in there to replace it with.

It isn't as thick as tar paper, but I was pretty sure that is what it was. Now you got me second guessing myself.

I had a small piece to replace - I used duct tape I coated with spray-on undercoat.

When I replaced some front panels 5 years ago,
I mulled over what to use while I fixed myself
a B-L-T for lunch... Click cut-up the nearly indestructable piece of plastic that comes in the
bacon packaging....it's still there w/ no signs of deterioration......
