I checked on this 3 years ago when I replaced the pump. (the replacement pump is the one that failed this time.) NOPE no heavy duty pump. I even checked the marine applications as they tend to use heavy duty parts and gaskets but even the marine pump carries the same part number.
This comment is in reference to the Cummins 5.9L engine only.

Interesting, My repair manual also says it take a 3/8" bar but mine is 1/2". I am wondering if the 190 HP engines had a different tensioner?
Do you remember what size bolts held the water pump in the block? My manual says 10mm heads but mine were 13mm heads.

Ed, did handling feel more secure with the repaired frame?
Major improvement! FINALLY very little tail wagging, steering input is translated to firm response.
Wow. Very happy for you. I know this has bugged you for quite a while.
Do you think this was a freak thing, or could the other side use a little reinforcement or bracing?

Mogan DavidThere is only one bar or rod attached from rear axle to one frame rail.
