Priced a windshield seal today, new seal 328.00 plus instalation. Has any one else replaced a seal lately.

Don't know if this applies. I had a small leak above both windshields in my 2985 regal. Windshild guy found that the flange that is riveted to the body to hold the windshield was rusted. So he cemented a piece of thin ABS to this flange and then attached the windshield to that. He says he does it all the time to older cars and rv and it's as good as new...

Is this shop still around? I have rust through the upper fiberglass cab area through the steel area.
