That about sums it up.

We arrived at our campground yesterday, got the doggies together for walkie-walkie, and smelled strong propane as soon as we got out.

Carl looked under the coach and could see propane leaking out of the hose and onto the pavement. He turned off both valves and the smell and dripping is gone. But ... no propane to run the air conditioner while we drive (talk about spoiled).

Any suggestions? As usual, the problem happened after 5 pm on a Friday. No one open in this small town. Coachnet has us on for first thing Monday morning help.

What kind of hose would this be and does anyone think a marine dealer would have it?

Thank you once again.

Well heck...here I am with our own solution ... having further investigated previous answers. Especially one from Bill of NY who suggested asking a propane delivery service. Right on, as usual.

One of the guys here at the campground pool works for the local propane company. Carl asked him if they do this kind of work and he said "C'mon over early Monday -- that's what I do for a living!"

What a relief!

See you all at the September get together.

The rest of the story --

Finally found a "hose fixer" through "Keystone RV" at Exit 1 Route 81 in Pennsylvania where you can camp and get your rv attended to. Parts manager Scott called his source and got the right hose, the right fixings and will put it on tomorrow. This is a fine, friendly and careful rv place with campground immediately attached.

Scott also said he thought when we pulled in that we were one of his regular customers who has a Barth just like ours. Wonder who that could be here in southern PA and if we'll meet him in September? Hope so.
