Small square bit
The trim in my coach is atteached with screws with a very small square drive. I bought a set of square bits 1 2 and 3, but they are all too large. Where can I find the tiny little one, and what's it called?
BTW, this is a new ceiling project, to be done in an off-white vinyl. Pix will be posted.

It's a Robertson Drive Bit. They have 2 more sizes below the 1

Robertson, also known as a square

Not sure of the spelling, but it's McFeely's or something close.

It's about time you guys below the 48th started getting used to Robertson or square drive screw heads. I always curse big time when met with a Phillips or star screwhead outside of drywalling.( although that is now changed )It is soooo much easier penetrating a squarehead screw than a star one! Now, we just need the electrical side to join in the change over.
Just had to throw that one into the mix!!!Ehhhhhh!

I am finally getting some pics together of the new Barth, now that the weather is getting milder and will forward them soon. The interior reno will begin also, as I want to change out the carpet/vinyl floors to laminate, redo the shower, counters and sinks, and replace the table /4 chair set-up with convertible bench seats c/w seat belts( no other seatbelts for Grandkids besides the front drivers'/passengers.)and re-upholster the jackknife sofa

It is funny do you want to go with vinyl or cloth? I was asking a furniture recoverer wont like cloth on a cloth seat on a steel frame an auto place likes (ultra leather)they do not like cloth. It must be two different types of work .

I'll have to give credit to square bits in one way. After failing to locate a oo or o size, I took a 1 and carefully ground it down until it fit the trim screws. Try THAT with a phillips or torx!

Hi Lenny
I think I am going for cloth...I'm not a fan of vinyl...would LOVE leather but the wallet is a little light.I am going to use a marine/RV upholsterer close to us

Hey Danny
Pretty ingenious of you to adapt! The Phillips grind would be difficult. Before the Robertson bits, I remember constructing stuff with slot screws and that had major challenges ( stripping and blisters )

Don't forget about sun fade of cloth & vinyl materials. Check with your upholsterer and ask if the material you picked out will fade and at what rate.

The couch, behind my drivers seat, is showing slight signs of it fading on the top, about shoulder height section - Since I noticed this, all of my drapes are closed when not in use. Of course, the sun will fade most materials and I should have been doing this before - live and learn... and then tell others.
