Keith Hopperair vent guesses?
Pine cone destroyed what little was left of it. Any guesses on make/model? Hoping to buy parts and rebuild because it has fan AND lights...not finding much out there.

RustyI wouldn't even consider replacing it with another of like-kind. I suggest the Fantastic Fan line.

Keith HopperI can't seem to find a model that has both fan and lights...really need that light up there.

Mogan DavidThat vent was junk from the start. Modern, large diameter plastic blade Fantastic Vent are MUCH better. You can get them with reverse, multi speed, even remote control. But DONT get the one with rain sensor.
http://www.fantasticvent.com/f...il-12-volt-fans.htmlI have one of these on mine... like it a lot:

RustyI have 3 - the base 3-speed, exhaust only, 3-speed in/out, and 3-speed in-out thermostatic. I agree about the rain-sensor - I put one on my SOB, and it worked erratically. Just get a shroud.
As to a light, install a separate light and a Fantastic.

DoormanI agree with getting a F.F. Quieter, more air, and reversible. If you have another exhaust fan, you can exchange a lot of air. Add a light if you need it.

Keith HopperOrdered Fantastic fan and an LED dome light. There is a separate switch for fan and one for light. So I need to wire the light switch to the new light, which is close to the fan. How would I get the existing wires to the new light without removing a big hunk of the ceiling? The wires are now attached to the original fan/light unit.
Do I need a ceiling fan install kit?
Same thing coming up for the bathroom vent and light.
