I installed Bilstein shocks and a steering damper but couldn't locate shocks for the tag axle. The old shock is stamped Gabriel #90044266 but that is the number Gabriel assigned to Neway installations. As per a Neway "tech",the real number for this shock is Gabriel 615091, however it hasn't been made for approximately 12 years. I have had numerous companies trying to cross reference these numbers, but no luck. Been told it won't hurt to not replace them but I can't accept that logic. I have a drawing(blueprint)(sent by Neway)of the shock used on Barths. If any Tag axle owners want a copy, let me know and I'll E-Mail one to you. If any of you folks have a solution to this problem, I will be most appreciative.
My tag is on a 1988 33'Regal (1987 P-30 chassis) Thanks.......carl
