When did you last check it? I met a fellow at the Quartzsite rally who had his Barth checked out before the journey down, including all fluids. On the trip, he had a fire at one rear wheel, but it was extinguished in time. Investigation determined that the axle was dry and an axle bearing overheated. The shop had liability insurance for the BIG bill.

So many folks reason that if there is no visible leak, the differential is OK. Apparently that was the case with the shop that did his check.

So be sure and check it.
