Refrigerator on off or on for the season
My wife insists that we turn off the rv refrigerator between trips. I think it makes more sense to keep it running. Anyone with a refrigeration background have any advice?

If your leveled and want your beer cold run it. cheers Anytime your running something and plugged in to your home power you are spending money.

It need not run all the time, but the refrigerant can clump or become partially solidified over time. I run the reefer, A/C, and genset every month when idle. I also take the Barth on the road for 15-20 miles every 45 days or less.

The reefer draws 300W+ when actually refrigerating, so turning its thermostat down to lowest setting reduces the number of "on" cycles.

In either case the idea is quite staggering.
