Hi Fellow Barthers:

We have a 1985 Glassnose Barth which took me over 2 years to refurbish. It has a Clark 5 speed with an 8.2 turbo Detroit diesel motor. Had to put in a new transmission. I lost 2nd & 3rd gear but it is resolved. While I was doing this and since I am an Amsoil dealer and have been using the products in my cars since the 80's, I decided to do a complete oil change, transmission and rear end lube on the Barth. Plus I put on by-pass filters, which enables me to change one filter one year and the by-pass filter the next year without changing the oil. 18 wheelers do this and change filters on the road without changing the oil.

We took a trip from Phoenix to Houston and the RV averaged 14.3 mpg. If you have any input you can email us at www.apachelee38@aol.com. Our next thing to do is install 2 - 85 watt solar panels with a 2000 watt inverter and gel batteries and we will be free to boondock only relying on the sun. The by-pass work was done at Universal Lube,
Peoria, AZ. Did a great job.
