1990 Barth Regal
I'm wondering if someone can help. I just bought a 1990 Barth Regal that is in superb condition with just over 40,000 kilometers. I have found pretty much what every switch and compartment has to offer, except for one. There is one compartment on the drivers side rear that has just a faucet in it. It looks like a normal garden faucet, but to this point I have no idea what it does. It doesn't seem to drain anything, and does nothing with the fresh water tank full and the pump on. Does anyone know what it's for? Thanks in advance.

I've got the same faucet, & always presumed it was just an outdoor faucet that fed off the fresh water system.

I've never tried it though, & it seems strange that it doesn't work off your pump. But maybe not. It doesn't make a lot of sense to have it plumbed into your on-board water system, but it would make sense to have an outdoor faucet if you were hooked up to city water. You might try it that way, & see if water flows. If not, it's another Barth mystery.

Hi, The faucett that you speak about should work on city or pump. Look for a valve under the seats. Although I use gloves, I use the faucett to wash my hands. Great place for rubber gloves and a bar of soap. I also use a water hose connected to it and wash the dust off the Barth when we are traveling. If I can be of any more help, just e-mail me. Hi again. I meant, I use gloves when I am empting the tanks at dump stations, but still wash my hands afterwards. Great place to store gloves and soap. Ken

Ken I have same valve on regency located in dump bin ITis for wash down after you dump tanks. there is a shut off valve under bottom drawer in galley pull drawer out and you should find it. Its so you don't freeze out side. owner before me didn't know where to turn it on either. hope this helps.

Ken and Lloyd. Thanks for the information on the mystery faucet. I'll look for the hidden valve and let you know how it went. Smiler
