Most Flexsteel chairs are Ultraleather. Available from automotive and marine supply distributors. Many colors available and if a perfect match is not possible you can go two tone - like new Newell's.

Tom and Julie thanks for your reply.I don't want to replace any of the material,as it is new,I would like to treat it to keep it as such.My situation is to treat the covering,not knowing if it is real or synthetic,with an appropriate product.thank You Wally 34ft Monarch,Van-isle.B.C.

Then follow these instructions:http://www.gulffabrics.com/ultralht.htm;
this is the least invasive method of care for any fabric, no solvents, no scrubbing and no abrasives. You can't hurt this product or for that matter any Naugahyde or Chinese vinyl either, but lesser materials can stain and then you are screwed. Is there no label under the chair? Can you look closely and determine if it is a vinyl or leather? One caution for leather: real leather will stain with dyes and can't be restored. The dyes in Levi's will transfer to leather in hot, wet or high humidity and the blue, brown or other colors will not come out. Don't ever use Armor All or any silicone based treatment on leather.
