A thermo-coupler keeps the valve open. If there is a 12v inline gas valve that kills the propane supply that will kill the flame to the fridge.

Thanks, Bill, that's how I meant to say it...it's quicker to turn off the reefer and leave the sniffer on, then restart it when fueling is done.
