Oops on data tag and many questions.
So I am scrubbing the walls and cabinets with Blue Wolf cleaner and I accidentally over sprayed the data tag and now there is no ink data, only the indented data left from the type writer I assume? Is there any legal problems from this? I have photos of it with it all there from before cleaning,,,,,,.

This motorhome is probably like many in that it has had a leak before and I am very sensitive to mold or anything whatever else grows in a damp environment, mainly my sinuses are my first indication of it. My sinuses are triggered every time I go in it so I know there’s a clean up/out going to happen. Those of you who have had to do this,,, how far should I go??? If plywood has gotten damp, jerk it out or clean and cover back? There are a couple of places where the ceiling has gotten wet and the corner is lose, will the foam under the vinyl be ruined? The furniture is nice (cloth) but I assume it’s compromised as well? Is there anyway to clean and use it because of the foam padding??? The maple cabinets I am having good luck with the blue wolf cleaner mentioned above.

It appears I have the flat roof monarch, which has the space age bubble wrap insulation. I assume this is the same insulation that NASA uses in all of their space travel vehicles.

I don’t think you would have any issues with the data tag especially since you have photos of it from before. Just print the photos and keep it with your registration.

Can’t help with cleaning info.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. After thinking it over I had came to the same conclusion as you, it’s still indented and I have the photos and the vin on numerous papers.

I’ve been watching a fellow on YouTube that builds school bus rvs and he did a specific video on insulation and covered what problems manifest with different types goes of insulation. He appears to really know his stuff and welcomes anyone to prove him wrong. (His ego seems to be in check). Anyway,, it seems the monarch I have only has a radiant barrier which is actually good in one aspect, no wool or fiberglass insulation to become saturated, bad in that there’s no conductive insulation. I’m sure there’s been lots of condensation in the walls of all motorhomes, Barth in particular that have been insulated with the “NASA” style insulation because of the metal skin and metal studs/framing. Cold metal meets warm interior.

I’m not exactly sure how I’ll move forward on fixing this, it is an almost 30y/o rig but I do like it very much.

Thanks again
