Nick CagleCornering Lights???????
What are the clear lights mounted beside the front clearance (marker) lights. I have not been able to find a switch in the coach that will turn these lights on. I thought maybe they were cornering lights and would operate when the turn signals were activated, but I have tried that. The bulbs test good but I can not find away to operate them.

Help please.

There are docking lights that are several times larger than these lights. They are mounted about mid length of the coach and there is a docking light switch at the drivers panels. They work normally.

Bill N.Y.Nick, maybe they do work... What if you are loosing your ground within the workings of the hinge and it doesn't have a ground to light up the bulb?
Ignore the fact that the marker light bulb might work, mine works when I use my turn signals and when I have the marker/headlights on.
If you put on your turn signals and they both blink at the same time, and then you turn on your headlights and they blink opposite, that means that the marker bulb seeks a ground during turn and marker light operations.
Try removing the cover and running an additional ground wire to a good ground as a test and then see if these lights come on when in reverse and the engine is running.
And, if you can't figure it out, you've got "Only 39 days" to go and Rusty will fix it for you.

Yes, so many RV elec problems are a bad ground. Many lights have poorly designed or corroded ground connections inside.

FWIW, mine works that way, too.

MWrenchHave you checked if they go on when in reverse?
Just a thought--

Nick CagleSpent more time trouble shooting this afternoon. They are cornering lights. They are on when the turn signal is activated. Doesn't matter if the headlights/marker lights are on or not.
Lights are manufactured by Hella and I will see if I can contact them tomorrow about replacement lights.

P.S. yea it was a ground problem again but the lights are not in good shape and I'm going to check on the cost of replacing them.

I'm saving the big problems for Rusty. don't want to waste all that talent on a light.

I wuz pretty sure they were part of the Automatically Activated Anti-Alien Defense System...since they're not, you may be vulnerable.

IIRC, Hellas use standard bulbs (unlike the Perlux fog lights on my van, which are $40 each...); anyway, if you can't find a part number, I suggest replacing with fog lamps, as they have a broad pattern and good cutoff.
