I know these coaches were built very differently from how they are made now. The holding tanks and such seem to be within the envelope of the insulation and such.

We live in Indiana and wold like to use the coach for some trips even during the winter. Is this possible? Even if some modifications are needed.

We have a 89 Regency, have been woundering the same thing.

Our holding tanks all had heaters. Notice I said had.

Why had? Did they fail, or did you remove them for some reason?

Interesting. My coach 94 Aristocrat. Had a red lighted switch in bathroom my uncle said was tank heaters. I was often underneath and I wondered how they had heaters. I assumed they would be visible underneath.

When I was doing a remodel in the bathroom I removed the toilet and the raised platform. Found heavy gauge wires rolled and taped off in that void. So heater wires never hooked to anything. Barth said there were heaters but all the switch did was turn the red lighted on and energize the wires that went nowhere? My uncle said he turned the heater on any time it got close to freezing?


My rig was completely open to the elements. All tanks.


And of course like all later coaches. Space age Reflectx. What a joke. My 72 has Insulation in the walls. Easy to heat and cool. Well the single pane windows are not efficient. I can heat with just a single 1500 watt heater. Not the case with my Monarch.

Dana, your uncle's positive thoughts of heat were confirmed by the red light. Sometimes you just have to believe. That said, like you I “believe” the space age reflectx was too far ahead of its time, so far that ahead that it is all most worthless.
