<Carl Flack>Rear Bumper Mounted Spare Tire
I would like to mount a spare tire on the rear bumper. CW lists a hinged bracket but I found nothing else like an extension to hold the tire and the metal cover to conceal the tire. Any help locating a source(s)for these parts will be greatly appreciated....carl

Carl,
Back in my SoB days (the Big W), I shopped for a swing-out tire mount......To an RV store, it was a sophisticated & expensive accessory, and I remember getting sticker shock.....
To my local Mom & Pop welding shop fabricator, it was about 30 lbs of steel at 20 cents a pound, (that he had laying around his shop anyway), and about 1-2 hours of his time. I recall that I sanded, primed & painted it myself after giving him about $50.00....and it had half-again the beef of the retail ones. Just a thought.......

davebowersI have a continental unit on the back of my coach and I agree. A welder and $100 should do it and then If you want to spend another $125 buch get a cover like mine.
