Closet light switch
The shirt closet in my 85 Regal has a light that turns on when you open the closet door. It's activated by a small switch mounted on the door frame of the closet. Mine doesn't work, and I've been unable to find out if anyone still makes them or if one of our group might have one they would be able to sell me. Any help would be really appreciated. I'm trying to keep the Regal as original as possible. Thanks.

Oh they have to be around. Might even try someone like Rockler wood working. Small switches are used in china cabinets, etc. There has to be what you want at electical supply houses too.

I wish you well my friend.

Dale's right....."they have to be around."

Perhaps if you posted a picture here, one of us might recognize it and suggest a source.

Being somewhat impecunious, I have had to settle for a Regal with manual lights, cannot cite a source.

I made automatic lights on our previous SOB, but Moma hollered when I opened a closet when she was sleeping, so our manual swithes are now modified for manual on, auto off.

Lee Merriman the President of the Barth Rangers told me one time that he bought some 12v closet lights. I can't remember where he said he got them, for some reason the Elkhart RV Surplus comes to mind. You can email him at smmerriman@aol.com
