What is the modern equivalent of SAE 10 hydraulic oil, SAE 10 W Service MS motor oil, and Type A Suffix A automatic tranny oil?

RustySAE 10 Hydraulic oil: Should be available as "Hydraulic Oil"; generic power steering oil should be close. Look for a viscosity of around 27 SSU. An SAE 10W API SB (Non-detergent) motor oil would work, but most hydraulic oils are formulated for moisture dropout and the motor oil might not be as good. Hydraulic oils are usually considered a non critical application, meaning the equipment is tolerant of minimal specs.
SAE 10W was for gaso engines operating under "severe" conditions. (The old API class "Motor Severe"). Renamed SC (Service Class "C") in the new scheme. Any SC or higher rated oil is compatible (except extremely high output, high RPM - like racing - engines). A straight 10W is likely obsolete and unavailable. I'd have to know the application to suggest a modern replacement.
Type A Suffix A is now known as "Dexron" - Any Dexron (III, IV, or VI) is suitable - AVOID combo Dexron/Mercon products

Shadow manThanks Rusty i figured that you would have that info.
Those are the 3 things that MCI in 1968 said that i can use in my power steering system. Haven't seen any 10W for a long time and SAE 10W hydraulic oil seems hard to find too. Guess i will just have to stick with the Dexron. Ed
