1985 Barth 28' P-30 with 454. Need replace drivers side windshield. Understand this type still used on some Chevy trucks. Anyone know what replacement item is. Thanks

First of all, welcome to Barthmobile.com especially to someone from the beautiful city of Ojai. If fact, my brother Steve Bowers still lives there on Granito Lane. I grew up in Oxnard.

Your windshield should be readily available. I would first check with an RV company like Barber RV in Ventura. My brother has sold cars for Barber Ford for 30 years.

But check around, the prices vary tremendously. Almost all of the glass guys will get their windshields from Duncan Systems http://www.dcmco.com/rvglass.htm and your windshield will probably cost them around $400.00 so what they charge you is all labor and profit.

There is also a company called Coach Glass http://www.coachglass.com/about.html

They sometimes have better prices and you can use them to put pressure your glass guy. If you spend under $800.00 per side you should be happy. I have had people tell me that they spent less than $400.00 but not lately.
