Wind Noise Comes From What or Where?

KevinWind Noise Comes From What or Where?
I have searched "Wind Noise" here and not really found an answer. I contacted the previous owner of my Barth and was told by him that Barth tried to silence the wind noise with the four holes in the lower window frame. This attempt was did not make the wind any quieter. I am not sure if the wind is coming in or just howling around the mirrors.
I recall that Nick had changed the mirrors on his Barth. Nick did you decrease your wind noise with the new mirrors?
Do you have a wind noise problem? Has anyone else come up with a way to silence the wind noise while driving? If you are going to tell me to turn up the radio, that is not the solution I am looking for.

RustyI had wind noise (whistling) from the (front) entrance door; treating the seal with conditioner allows it to seat properly.

Kevin, Can't remember that the new mirrors made any difference in the wind noise. The noise always seem to be around the SLIDING window at the driver. Just no way to get a good seal with that design.

MWrenchYou will find that there is a lot of noise coming from the drain holes on the windows. These usually have a rubber cover and many times it comes off, even with the rubber cover on, I have noise. When I tape over these holes on the outside, the noise goes away.
My front side windows have two holes, one at each end for drains. I have also found that I can tape over the holes inside on the frame of the slider, better but not as good as over the outer holes.
Of course holes need to be open in rain.
There will be some noise from the mirror depending on the type of mirror you have, I haven't found a way of reducing that noise.

bud@YXYThank You Ed!--- mystery solved! I/we have often wondered why the holes on our Breakaway's windows were plugged with silicone--- now we know.

Thank you ED. When I travel this summer in good weather I am going to try some black Gorilla tape.
I asked this question early in the season, to see if anyone had tried to replace the felt fuzzy that is "supposed" to seal out the wind noise. I may also try replacing the felt fuzzy stuff. It appears that replacing the fuzzy stuff may require removing the inside window frame. We will see what happens.

QuinnKevin, I am very interested in this project, as all the rubber and felt in my windows, especially front-side, is worn out. My windows rattle constantly. PO had a bunch of cardboard folded up and stuffed in the gaps, but that doesn't work either, and looks crappy to boot.
I have no idea where to start. Seem to be a zillion types of felt and many different rubber seals.

Richard_MuiseMy wind noise came from the louvre door in front of the coach. I assume it's there to help cool the generator. Mine only occurs around fifty miles per hour.
