We have an 89 Regency 38'.
It has a rear trailer hitch and plugin, not sure if was done by past owner or not.
My trailer has electric brakes.
I hooked up my trailer to the camper, had NO brake lights.
Every time I would touch the brakes they would lock up.
There was never a controller inside to adjust the amount of braking for the trailer. So, I installed one.
The brakes are working fine but still no brake lights. Have all other lights. On all diagrams for the round plugs it shows that the left turn and the brake and the right turn and the brake are wired to each other.
The question is, HOW???
All the wires come to a junction bare at the rear in the engine compartment, it has air brakes.
If I try and put the brake wire to one of the turn signals, all on that side come on when the brake is pressed.
So, trying to figure out how to wire this up/
Thank you for any helpful advice.

Zak

Good morning, look around in the rear wiring, you should find one labeled STOP and is not connected to anything. Purchase and install a turn signal/stop light converter, sometimes called an import light converter, we use the Roadmaster one, excellent power passing.

That should do the trick.
