Engine compartment sound insulation?
Good evening! I've been a member for a while but this is my first post (big news for me!) I have a 1981 Euro nose 27' and the dog house cover had some pretty raunchy sound deadening material that had disintegrated away... plus a rubber mat that hung down onto the carburetor. First thing I did was cut away the dangling rubber, but now I'm wondering where I could purchase high-temp sound insulation. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

- Daniel.

Looking at the data sheet on this product I would be wary of it in the high temp environment of your engine compartment.

Additionally, the most important thing you can do for noise abatement is seal the doghouse from the interior. Perhaps that is where the rubber piece came from.
