Dave,

I have the "Classic", but purchased it before the "Vantage" model came out. I have had it now for three years and am very satisfied with the operation and performance.

The big difference between the two is the remote adjustability of the Vantage. I do not think the remote adjustibility is critical unless you tow a vehicle that you use to carry stuff that may significantly change the weight of your tow vehicle a lot each time you tow it.

Once I dialed in the setting for my Honda Accord, I always adjust it to the same setting. We don't cary much in the Honda, so it basically weighs the same all the time. If you were pulling a small truck or SUV and loaded it differently each time, you would prefer the remote as you could adjust the braking force on the fly. This would be nice, however, if you feel a need to increase or decrease the braking force, you could always stop and go back and adjust the manual unit achieving the same affect.

I shopped around online and found a very good price. With shipping, it was still much less expensive than CW or the other major retailers.
