My 79 does not have a mount for the spare tire.Where was it located from the factory? I have thought about building a mount off the trailer hitch that would be the same height as the rear bumper. Any wisdom or experience here I may use??? Thanks--Charles

Ours had an exterior bin that was sized for a spare. Many gassers have them mounted above the rear bumper.

Search the site or the disk for pictures.
