shifter cable needed
looking for a new shifter cable for my 83 regency with a detroit diesel/allison 545, mine seized up on me. it's a morse cable, 300 inches, looks like 5/16" with the threaded rod at the control end. any pointers on where to find something like that??

Excellent source! You are now an official contributor to our site, thanks. Thumbs Up

We often get questions, sometimes rather vague, asking for information and help. Nothing wrong with that but the info has to come from somewhere. Often the questions are answered and we never get a response on how things worked, etc. head bang

It is great when folks find solutions to problems and post their information for the rest of us. Thanks for starting off so well, I'm sure others will find that link useful. (like me, I am planning a trans swap soon and the parking brake cables are all rusted solid)

Thanks again, good luck with your Barth. Keep in touch with your projects! Thumbs Up

PS be sure not to overheat your 8.2 DD. They are very prone to warping. Later ones (and rebuilds) have larger head bolts but are still sensitive to overheating. Otherwise, the early Regencies are known for great ride quality and good service.
