Regal speedometer cable routing

I'm looking for help from Regal owners to identify the routing for the speedo cables. The speedo on my coach doesn't/hasn't worked since I've owned it and I know it didn't work long before. I received an electronic speedo with the coach(not in service yet) but I would prefer to reconnect the original setup so the cruise could work. (if it will). I have a few short speedo cables which presumably go from the tranny to a grey cruise type device, then maybe to the speedo gauge. One problem is that there is at least two of the grey cruise type devices underneath, one forward under radiator, one farther back.
Anyway, any help would be appreciated. This is going to be one of the winter projects I have lined up. This is one of the engine codes being thrown up and I would like to repair it.

On my Regal there was a short cable from the trans to a nearby cruise control. A second cable ran from the cruise to the speedo in the panel. The cruise will work without the speedo if the short cable is intact. You can keep the electronic speedo if you want. (Not sure why you have 2 cruise modules…

This is an 86 GM chassis, yours is later but should be similar.

Thanks, Steve. I'll crawl under when it's stopped raining(might be May '16,lol). Setting up the electronic speedo, according to the instructions, will be a major PITA. I'll try the original first.

Good luck! The early cruise controls were aftermarket made by ARA I think. Many variations exist. After 1988 I believe GM offered a factory cruise for a few years, then quit. See if you can get Mfr info on your system we can maybe get better info.
