Looks like it's time for a new pump. Seems mine can't be fixed locally. Have been looking on eBay. Any suggestions?

Bill use shurflo they work great make sure it for rv or marine. I replaced the one on the regency and on the boat. do you have a thing like craigs list where you can post stuff for sale? Here its free and you just type in what you are looking for and rply to seller. I picked up new one for $40.00 at any rate it should be available on ebay but you have to pay shipping good luck

I suggest getting a "demand" pump for a few bux extra...My SOB had the standard, and the repeated moises get irritating - the Barth has a demand pump, and it's far quieter.

OK, thanks for the input, got a new Shurflo pump. Now, need a new water-fill inlet. Mine is plastic and broken. Any suggestions?

Most of these items are standard, though products change over time, & you're not likely to find anything identical to your '73 model.

Check the dimensions, maybe take a picture, & compare it to what you find at your nearest RV parts retailer. He is likely to have an extensive catalog of parts from various manufacturers in addition to what he has on his shelf.

Unless you can patch up your current filler, you'll probably have to settle for something that's a near fit, & may require some modification to the new filler or the motor home.

I had to replace the pressure inlet on my '90,
never found a direct replacement, & had to search several catalogs to find one with similar features & dimensions.

You might consider doing away with the gravity fill. Since I moved our water tank, we have not had a gravity fill. Where water pressure is available, we use a hose on the pressure fill. When filling from our 6 gallon jugs or our 55 gallon bladder
,
we use the Camco winterizing valve to suck the water in to the tank with our regular water pump. My back no longer allows me to lift and hold a big water jug, so we have no use for the gravity fill. Post a picture of yours and I will see if it is like mine. If so, I will send it to you.

Bill, I think you just saved my back a ton of pain. I never thought of using the winterizing valve to fill from a jug. I'm going to nominate you for a Nobel prize. You ought to send this to the "tips" column in Motorhome Magazine.
