1969-1973 windshield replacement
I am at RVGLASS solutions having both of my windshields replaced. Should be done later today.

While here I had a talk with their Customer Service Specialist abut the availability of windshields for early model Barths (24.5") tall.

In their system they have 10 sets here Coburg Oregon and at their Indiana facility they also have 10 sets. Total of 20 sets available, set meaning driver and passenger side.

No gaskets set available and when these windshields are gone no more, they will not reproduce more of these models of windshields. They can ship anywhere in the USA from either location.

Before I leave I will try to have a visual confirmation of the correct stock.

Was the glass for your year Barth used on any other RVs or trucks? It isn't as bad finding glass for the later year Regals, thanks to the commonality with other RV brands, and the GMC Titan cabover, and maybe some firetrucks. I am starting to think it might be prudent to find some windshield class and store it away.

Hi Matt, My Barth is a '94 Breakaway so the glass for mine is still very available. RVGLASS is very large supplier of glass of all sorts of side glass and windshields.

While there, I asked if they had any stock of windshields for 1969-1973. They checked their references and found the have 10 sets there and 10 sets in their Indiana warehouse. When looking further into their specs, their stock supposedly is 24.5"X48". According to Duane his windshields size is 22"X48". I asked to see their stock but it was 3 palate racks high and they could not get to them easily.

Further to complicate the issue SteveVW Had a set that were supposedly for the 1969-1973 and those part numbers off the glass do correspond and cross to the number RVGLASS has in stock.

I will pursue this issue further and see if I can get answers as to what the actual size is.

FOR ANYONE needing a windshield for the Barth 1969-1973 model year, I suggest that if you order, make sure you state the actual vertical size as measured for your application. Then the supplier must measure their stock before sending to you.

I will go to the Indiana warehouse and see if I can get the measurement from their stock. I'll be there after the Minnesnowta GTG next week.

Good idea Matt,if someone had the financial and room to purchase this stock would be great as these supposedly are all they have in stock and they will not be making any more. I'd even try a group buy if they were indeed the correct size. An EOL product should have heavy discounts.

I'll post on to this if I have any further info.

Just measured my 1973 (Dec 72) windshields and they measure 24-1/2" top to bottom. The Picture Steve posted with those early windshields shows a measurement of 22-1/2". Is it possible that there was 2 different size windshields in the early models?

Not only possible but a fact, if your 73 is 24.5 and my 71 is 22! We should be able to spot a visible difference in post a front view of your coach.

Seems to me your glass is longer than that on the 71, but hard to tell if they got it from the top, bottom or both! From the glass top to the roof top looks longer on the 71, maybe!!

Bye the way, please come polish the 71!!!
