Rather than outside mats maybe we could have fake dogs wirelessly connected to the Nobi. Then when the alligator attacks the decoy we know it's not a good time to go outside. What do you all think?

This whole thing is lost on me. If I am there, and a crook breaks in, I and the dog should hear him.

If I am not there, what does an alarm help?

Does it sound an alarm outside? Dial the police? Maybe this would help if parked next to my house and we are home?

The most valuable thing in the coach is the 50 amp cord, and it is already gone.

So the most valuable thing in mine is my wife Lynn (Priceless) and she wouldn't go quietly if Burgulared so no need for an alarm! Think if I show her this post I'll get any honey do points? Funny one of the first thing my Uncle told me about D-Barth was that even though there was information about it in my binders there was no alarm in the Aristocrat. Well there is no longer any information in the binders. Sorry I should have asked if anyone wanted it!

The alarm is rather loud and is very audible outside the coach. There are two assumptions one could make. The first is that the sound alone would scare, or discourage, any would-be robber. That is what saved my home a few years ago. The other is that one of the neighbors would either investigate or report the offending noise. Either way it is a modicum of security. The best part is that it does alarm if anyone manages to open a bay door which could happen while we are inside sleeping, eating, etc.
The real fact is that I don't know how many coaches, even new ones, have alarms. The noise factor is about the only thing going for it. I may examine the possiblility of installing a wireless notifier much like a home security system uses. Unfortunately that will be down the list a ways.

I do have a small pamphlet on the Nobi system that is in my 93 Regency. I could scan it and send it to anyone who would like it.

We did not get a key for our alarm. Does anyone know a source for the keys or how to get one made?

I was surprised by the alarm system in my Barth, then I found the safe under the dinette and I came to the conclusion that if you paid $194k (I have a copy of the original bill of sale) in 1985 then you might just have a few valuables that you were worried about!

There used to be a legend or urban myth about a purchaser of a used Barth who discovered a safe and it was full of really valuable stuff. The story was a little different each time it was repeated, but similar.

Our Barth had a mysterious sticker with a combination on it inside a closet, but haven't discovered the safe yet.

Let's all go out to our coaches and rip up carpets and closet floors. Smiler

A man in prison received a letter from his dad bemoaning that he had no one to help him dig up the potato patch in the spring.

The son replied, "No, don't dig there. That's where I buried the body."

Next day, the law showed up and dug the place up.

The father reported this to his son, who replied, "Just tryin' to help, Dad".

My safe is located in the front dinette seat base. You have to sick your head under the table and look for it. My wife also found a large drawer under the rear seat base that I did not know about…..it even had a toaster in it!

Chiming in late here, but it is definitely an alarm. When I re-floored, I removed the pads. Then I disabled the alarms when I discovered that everytime I set it I tripped it on return.

I guess it has a place, but have outlived it! Some gadgets are useful, others are a pain in the arse.
