Not to be confused with wind-bags, which I can sometimes be... ROTFLMAO

I have a 1984 Barth commercial/custom, originally owned by Bose. From the state of the crumbling rubber, the air bags on my tag axle are probably OEM, considering that the emergency 'substitute' is a pipe with all-thread and washers, I'd prefer to have another DIY solution, in order to get her streetable, while making other necessary repairs.

It appears that the Camping World emergency bags are no longer available. Are there any real-world options, or is this a 'replace the airbags, then fix other stuff' situation?

Other options? Since the Winnebagos used a coil-over airbag on the front, with the same rating as my tag-axle, could I replace them, with a set of the front coil-overs? I would think putting some innertube sections around those would act as dust-covers, as well, possibly extending their life-span...(?)

Just need budget-conscious solutions, until I can get other crucial repairs done.

Thanks in advance!

Barth used Neway tag axles but they are rare. The smaller TA3 was used with very early coaches but 80's models had the TA5. We have few documents on the TA5.

My tag axle bags were easy to change. You will need a Goodyear 1R9 038 bag. Last I checked they were widely available around $125. They can be installed without jacking up the whole coach.
