Scott Wcoach in storage
WE are buying a 1993 Breakaway. It has 25,000 miles on it. It has been in storage for about 10 years. WE are draining old fuel out, changing the oil, changing filters, new tires and new batteries all this before moving it. Any suggestion of other things that might need to be done. This is our first motorhome and looking forward to being a Barth owner. Jaime and Scott Ward

bill hBelts, hoses, rubber brake lines, brake fluid, Diff lube, front bearing lube. Lube job. Wiper blades. Clean all battery cable connections. Not just at the starter, but at the starter, ground, and whatever relays might be there. Smaller connections would benefit from wiggling and a drop of CRC 2-26. Have the brakes looked at for rust and binding, particularly emerg brake. Look at the steering mechanism while the steering wheel is moved with the engine running. Check alternator voltage. Put some water and Happy Camper in the black tank so it sloshes around and starts cleaning on the way home.
Others will add anything that I didn't remember.
It would be nifty to have a list all in one place of everyone's ideas on this.

DougZThis may not apply, but be sure to check to see if the PO put any rodent or insect poisons in the coach before you let any pets go in.
