Lance WaltonGenerator slideout
The drive unit which slides the generator out on our Regency is not working. It appears to run but all I hear is a clicking sound. I think that could mean a pin or gear is broken. Does anyone have any literature or other type of information on these units? Hopefully it is easily repaired.

Tom and JulieA 12v motor runs a screw gear that is connected to the long threaded rod. The rod has a pin/cotter pin that holds it against the screw drive on the motor. The gear itself on the end of the motor shaft is held by a pin or Woodruf Key. On yours the motor is mounted in the front behind the bumper and can be easily removed with the slide open. If it is closed you get one or two strong people, unlock the pins at the compartment door by sliding under the coach and using a screwdriver and then have them pull out the drawer. If the motor is running the fix is a little labor and perhaps a new pin/cotter pin. It is a good time to grease the gear and the rod and lubricate the wheels and rails so it will slide out easily next time.
