Hi,
On two windows, the a screw has backed out of the handle on a Hehr window. I am guessing that there is no easy way to remedy this. The window glass obstructs access to the backside of the handle. On one window, the fitting is slightly jammed between the fixed pane of glass, and the sliding pane of glass. It is scratching the glass, and I figure that the scratch on the pane will eventually lead to a fracture on the pane. Oh what a pain.

I am thinking I have to remove the window from the RV, remove the panes from the frame, and reassemble properly.

If there is an easy way, I'd love to hear it.
thanks,
Matt

I have similar sliding window latches on my Ford conversion van. I replaced the interior handles with a section of aluminum angle, threaded to accept machine screws. These have held up for 9 years.

Au contraire mon frere... Big Grin

While the window is still in the Barth you can make a repair.

Here is a link to the PDF Files for field service.

What it comes down to is you slide the one screen all the way over, remove a 1 or 2 piece strip in the upper track, slide the screen back half way. Lift up high into the track and drop out. Repeat the same for the sliding window.

Has anyone replaced the window channeling (fuzzies) on interior of windows? Our are shot (rotted originals) in all of the sliding windows on our '85 Regal. We plan to replace and wondered if anyone else has done this, what are the specs either universal or specific, or whatever else.
Thanks!
