Hi Guys
I'm getting ready to change my heater hoses etc. What temp thermosat should I use
for the 454 eng.

Ralph, your 76 should use a 195 degree stat. That will give you the best emissions, mileage and engine life.

However, if you overheat going up hills, a lower stat, say 180 or 160 will let you run a little cooler and get a little farther up the hill before the temp gets really high.

It would be better to have a good cooling system checkout and run the 195, though.
