1993 Barth Alt.
had voltage issues when running down the road especially with AC and headlights on. Replaced with a new Powermaster alternator, added an extra 6 Gauge charging cable and ground. now at an idle she is seeing 13.8 volts with everything on. What a feeling.

I have low voltage from my stock 60-amp GM alternator when the heater fan is going or head lights, especially when the suspensions air compressor is running. Was just gonna stick in a standard GM 80- or 100-amp upgrade but maybe now I will go with this system...Thanks for the tip!!

I think Powermaster makes a direct replacement one for you also. Just make sure and upgrade your power feed from the alternator. Any good 12Volt store should be able to assist you, if not call me I'm an old-timer in the 12 volt world.

My one-line feed from the alternator goes directly to the starter and then connects to the starter feed heavy cable from the battery. It is now a 10-gauge wire. I will upgrade it to a heavier cable. Will check out the options and because I am a cheapskate go with the least expensive!
