In motion satellite antennas.....recommendations?
I'm considering one of the in motion satellite antennas and was wondering if anyone had any experiences with them, either positive or negative, don't be afraid to name names, I don't want to make a $1,000+ mistake.

JORMA< i have a kingdome stationary sat-doesn't work going down the road but when stopped just push the button and wa'la. we have had it 1 year and have used it all over the midwest and the southwest. 2 times out of about 150 days of use parked behind a tree and no signal. otherwise it works great. we paid $1200. plus install. the totally automatic was about $1800. plus install. if i had it to do over again i would save my money for a motosat with sat. tv and internet. they are around $4,000.+ install but if you internet and travel a lot and are planning on keeping your coach for awhile it would be worth it, at least to me.

King Dome is very popular in this area. It is manufactured here in St. Louis Park, MN a suburb of Minneapolis and 5 miles from me. If you have an installer there is an outlet for refurbished units. I used to have the email. It is run by the owners brother.

We just bit the proverbial bullet and installed a Motosat (Direcway) for Internet, tested it yesterday for first time and it's quite good or so it seems. The neatest thing is the automatic finding of the sattelite and peaking for best performance. This is for stationary use only but as we work while mobile, it should be very helpful. The cell phone connection for dial up was so slow and expensive although monthly charge for this is more than satellite connection at home. If you'll be at Quartzite in January, we'll show it to you.
