Over the past months there has been
a seemingly random movement of several postings of mine
into
different categories from where they were first placed

such as the one now in MAHEM.... Oops this has moved again ===back to Tech TalkSmiler

{with never an explanation to me: why the change
...or my reasoning why I put a certain posting where I didFrowner }

Good question, Doug. However, most of the threads I have seen moved were not random. Not all are yours.

Many have been duplicates of coaches for sale that were in different threads. Also some are moved from the for sale forum to the sold forum. Some are moved when new site members reply to a thread with an off topic response, resulting in thread drift.

I think Bill is the only one who can move them, except the author of the posting can add/delete or move them.

I was surprised to see the recent comments regarding no fiberglass Barths. All the MCCs were, all the Euros had plastic fronts and from 87 on the others had plastic fronts too. All are subject to UV damage, shrinking, cracking, and being brittle, etc as they age, to varying degrees.

The clear coat on my Monarch's front is peeling on top from the sun.

There are only a "very few" people that have the authority to move posts around. It is as Steve says...

I do have people that help me as my time is pretty limited and without helpers things tend to not get done. If one of the helpers is doing something counter to the cohesiveness of our boards then appropriate action will be taken. I can rescind any authority that was given.

If this is a real issue that needs to be addressed then I'll delve deeper. If this is just a Q&A for general discussion then we'll keep at it until all questions are answered.

1) Has any of the moved posts been done in a negative or malicious way?

2) Has there been an issue of intentional manipulation of any posts that changes the facts or feel of the post?

I'd like to think that posts are moved to keep the ebb and flow going. Posting multiple things in several forums would usually result in deletion of one of them. Posting in the wrong forum might necessitate a move to the correct forum and a for sale that is now sold would be moved with little fanfare.

Let me know... Computer

I moved Doug's post to MAHEM at the suggestion of another member, since most Barth coaches are metal. I forgot about the fiberglass MCCs, so when Doug pointed it out, I moved it back to Tech.

My questioning was just a snap response about the movement of a post....
