Anyone other than me looking at the ad for the 71? I have some pictures and info if so and will share. Am trying to set up a date to go look at it, from the pictures, it looks to be in very good shape except for a couple foot long tear in a lower panel, does not look like a big deal to repair.

I live about 2 hours away and will try to get in there next week, will get the tag data then and more info!

Be sure to check those small windshields. They are not available any where. Let us know if you look at it! Thumbs Up

Just had a thought, does a 71 Chey 350 have soft valve seats? Have not seen the tag so it may even be on a 70 P30 chassis.

Internet answers are "yes and no" not sure who to believe.

I think we were still using leaded fuel in '71. If memory supports me they changed valve seats when lead was removed.

Another thing to look at in the 70-73 years, is the condition of the brake rotors and drums. These were transition years. Rotors and drums are not available, or at least they were not 6 years ago when I redid my 73 (12/72). I doubt they are more available now.

Strange indeed, seems Rockauto has both front and rear rotors, drums, pads and shoes for a 1970, but only rotors, no drums, but pads and shoes for a 1971 P30 13 inch. Ebay is similar. The 70 drum is about $270 at Rockauto, cheaper on Ebay.... Yikes!!!
