I would still go for 2. I have one that is above the exhaust that has become pretty distorted, and a spare would be nice.

Put me down for two. Don't need them now, but the future. Probably should get four because of the AZ sun. Guess it is time to preserve the ones I have.

Has anyone tried to paint them. They have paint for plastic parts these days.

~ 36 to go.
quote:
I got back with the molder and we have a better price. By using a lower quality mold (as in mechanically stout) that will work for several hundred rather than several thousand parts he can reduce the cost on the mold to $300. The quality on 50 or so units would not be reduced. If we do the cutting of the profiles to suit our coach bumper profiles and trim the edges ourselves we can have them for $29 each. That makes the cost of 40 $36.50 each. There would be a small shipping charge to our business that I will cover, then each member can get them via flat rate post for $12.50 per order.
What does this really mean?

The $500 mold is now $300. To recoup the cost of the mold would cost each member who orders and additional $7.50 per unit. The cost is now $36.50 each for a min order of 40 pieces.

Shipping charges are an additional USP Flat Rate of $12.50 per box shipped. We should be able to get 4 in a box.

The member who is doing this has graciously offered to absorb the shipping charges of these 40 pieces to his place of business and ship them out to you.

Because these pieces are not a high priority item for our coaches, I see no reason to order an abundance of them and stock em for future sales.

In the future, someone who wants these will have to talk more members into buying them before they can get some for themselves. So, if you plan on ordering them, let us know so we can get an order together.

I am not getting any for free because of my position here - I have also refused payment for doing a "Quick Website HTML Job" in hopes of getting a better price for all of you who chooses to order.

If you want these, speak up now by requesting them below this post - if we can get an order together that is close to 40 we'll pull the trigger.

If I'm doing this right it will cost me

$36.50 each x 4 pc = $146.00 + $12.50 shipping = $158.50 total.

36 to go.
I will keep a running total - You will see this above each post when someone decides to order these.

Do not send me any money - you'll get an email for payment instructions from the member who is doing this... That is, if we get enough together. Likewise, If we can get more than 40 ordered up - the price will be cheaper per piece and we'll let you know what the newer reduced rate is at that time.

With my order, we are now 10% of the way there to getting this done. See, it's not too hard to get there.

Just a quick thought... If you need them, I would order them now. I really don't see the above scenario of "talking more members into buying them" really panning out... Do you? Roll Eyes
