Can anyone tell me anything about this motorhome? Looking at possibly buying it to restore but the owner doesn't know anything about it. Thanks!

Looks to be an 80s gas 28-30 foot. Over the drivers seat to the left there should be a data tag that would give us information to tell you more. The data tag is often behind the curtain and rail.

Missing tail lite lenses would be a problems they are no longer made and no stock anywhere. Otherwise looks to be in pretty good condition. (Not buried on flat tires).

It's listed as a 1979 but I found a photo online of one with that same paint scheme that was a 1988 model. Is this an all aluminum model? What engine do you think it might have in it? Thanks!

It will be like all Barths in that the house is aluminum framed. It looks very similar to my '88 25'. Powertrain is likely a 454 Chevrolet, TH400 Transmisson, which would be a P30-ish running gear, I think.
I think we've had a little discussion on this one when the owner listed it on Fb as a "Bison", located over in Oklahoma.
That's the only one I've seen with the "bunk bed" windows.
Looks like a big project, but would be very cool when finished.

79 looks possible. You can not by paint scheme. They used across many years.

Aluminum skin and framework in walls and roof. Absolutely. Aircraft construction.

Motor could any of many 350 or 454 would be possible.

Again data tag would give us a place to start.

'89 model. Judging from the date, the chassis was made a month after mine, and the coach was completed three months or so after mine. Wonder how long it took for Brth to build one of these beauties? It's possible I guess that this was the next Regal off the line after mine.

Five-Oh is right on!!! Wonder how many miles, might get lucky and only need clean-up.

Even has 16 inch wheels and hub caps like Buford!

Owner said the brakes were not working, any ideas where to start looking for a possible reason there? Thanks

There is a Service manual for the 1986 chassis here: (yours will be very similar to the 86)

https://www.barthmobile.com/eve...893991167#4893991167

Chapter Five concerns brakes

The master cylinder is in the left front wheel well area. Check level there first. If it is full then the problem with the master cylinder or the Hydroboost system. This system gets pressure from the power steering pump. Be sure the power steering is working (Belts, hoses, fluid)

If the cylinder is low there is a leak. Could be lines, hoses, calipers or cylinders. Inspect carefully. Be sure to bleed the system after servicing.

A thread on front brake service here:
