I'm not sure if this is the best place for this, but i didn't want to clutter the for sale listings. I owned 2 different barth motorhomes in the past, a 76, then an 85. I regret ever selling them, especially my 85, but life happens, and both were sold for the right reasons. But now, I am really looking for another motorhome, and some other brand just won't work. But I'm on a s.o.b. budget. Or a project budget. Hint..hint..... Seriously, my search is on. I went to texas last weekend to see this one...if only the winshields were good, i would have probably tried to drive it home. I had the car loaded down with any tool i thought i would need. When i bought my 85 in reno nevada i worked on it all the way to oklahoma. But i really think this one was too far gone, even for me. All this to say, if anyone should here of a barth in any condition under $5000 i would like to know. Thanks everyone!

Good luck with your search. As I have said before, restoration of any old coach is expensive and labor intensive. Many of the old Barths have been sitting too long.

That being said, they are still better than most. The aluminum hull is a great plus. The GM P chassis is still well supported with parts and info. Interiors can be redone with available materials and appliances.

The Achilles heel seems to be the steel undercarriage and compartments. Careful inspection might find one with minimal corrosion. That would be a good candidate.

If price is the main criteria, there is a 76 in Kelowna BC on Facebook marketplace---- we got notice of it from my brother inlaw--it does however look like it could use some TLC.
