Ever wonder what the most popular length of the different models built. I was looking at the data tag info this evening and did a sort on the length of Breakaways and Regencies for the tags we have collected so far.

We have 41 tags for Regency coaches. The first 7 were all 35 footers on MCC chassis. Seems that was the only length offered. Here is a list of lengths and the number of coaches for each. 36 Foot seems the most popular followed closely by 32 foot
  • 31-1
  • 32-8
  • 34-5
  • 35-7
  • 36-9
  • 37-1
  • 38-5
  • 40-5

We have 27 tags for Breakaway coaches and the majority are 30 footers.
  • 28-4
  • 30-15
  • 33-6
  • 34-1
  • 36-1

If you have any questions about chassis or engines etc. Please ask and I will see if I can come up with an answer for you.

Nick

Just a quick update. We have collected 185 data tags as of today. Of this total 73 are diesel pushers including Breakaways, Monarchs, Sovereign, and Regencies.

If you have recently become a member and have not furnished your data tag information, Please post it to this Thread. Bill NY or myself will add it to the data base.

Thanks,
Nick

I happened to notice that Stratosurfer has Regency coach number 139 and we have coach number 140. Their data tags indicate both are Spartan/Cummins units and I see from Stratsurfer's posts, both have front radiators. What I find interesting is that 139 was finished in January and 140 (ours) was finished in May. The Regency model sure wasn't a big production number, were they!!
Your data tag project is a REALLY WORTWHILE endeavor!! Thank you.

Cabinetguy, thanks for the follow through. It's better to send it twice, than not send it in at all. Big Grin

You gave us this info back in June. You were asking for tire advice and sent it then. New Tires: 06-30-2009

Mike, there seems to be a digit missing in your data plate number. Usually the numbers after MC will designate the length. If your coach is 21 feet long there should be a "1" after the "2". Let me me know if you get a chance to double check it.

Thanks, Nick
