The Old Man and No Barth

That rearward slope was a fairly common characteristic of '30s & '40s, "art deco," "streamlining." There was even a Seattle ferry, the "Kalakala," that followed that motif. It was at least as ugly as this coach. It was beached in Alaska as a fish cannery for many years & then refloated & brought back To Seattle. It's a real rust bucket now & the current private owner has been working hard to achieve historic status for it.
