The title to the '74 Class C Tere and I just bought says the 'identification number' is 74051500M19. Should the title instead say 'CGY3343101317' which is also on the data tag? When I go to TN DMV, I want to get it right.

Jim, this is ONLY my suggestion!!! Since the modern VIN numbers were not in use in 1974, I would suggest using the Barth number. That way there is no question in the future about the year or Manufacturer of the unit.

74051500M19 is the data tag; I'd use the other number as many states won't accept it if you sell.

The chassis number should be used. Not the Barth ID number.
