what does the c mean after 8.3 in a Commins? .I have no idea. I am cumming from towed campers. but all ways had trucks ford power stroke and Duramax chevy's .both good motors .

The "C" is the engine model code. The 5.9s in the Breakaways is the "B" model range of smaller displacement engines.
Yours is an 8.3 litre 6 cylinder turbo-charged aftercooled engine just like ours (6CTA 8.3).
If I remember right, it likely gives 240 hp @ 2200 rpms and 645 lb-ft of torque @ 1500 rpms. This engine was mated to Spartan chassis with GVW rating of base - 25750 lbs to max 29640 lbs.
