Well it is now official. The title is cleared and transferred to me and I have ordered my new custom Michigan license plate, "98BARTH."

Not too creative but it will identify the coach better.

Interesting how titles and years vary.

86Barth was sold new as a 1987 model. It was produced in July of 1986 with a 1986 GM VIN number. When I bought it, the MI title year was based on the 86 GM VIN.

The 98 was built in Aug of 1997, with a Spartan chassis VIN from 1995. The data tag indicates it is a 37 foot coach. Tom's Washington title recorded a 1998 Monarch 38 ft coach. My Michigan title follows that and claims a 1998 38 ft coach. Go figure.

You would be paying less taxes on a 1995 37 footer and could get Historical plates sooner if they chose 1995 for you.
