Early in our FBO career (late 70s) we had 2 staggerwings on the same small field (Allegan, Padgham). We did an "Annual" on one and had to do a retract test, so I hired a crane to lift it while we cycled the gear. Most nerve-wracking. Sold (brokered) it soon after (with a fresh annual).
