Kiern & Caroline have arrived! Looks like a revisit of the original GTG here, with 4 participants.

I'm sitting in a barren spot - vacancies 5 to the right, 3 to the left, and 4 across the drive.

I am there in spirit, does that count? Seems like every year something happens, this time hubby has out-patient surgery scheduled.

I will return someday. (I hope)

Casey and Nelson have detected your spirit (and Larry's) in 7 of the vacant spaces - somewhat discomforting...

Every cancellation hurts, but we keep saying "at least Deb and Ed will be there". I don't know what to say any more. Maybe this GTG has jumped the shark and after this year we should just forget the whole thing. Frowner Just really bummed out right now.

We are upset about not being there also. Had the Barth loaded up and planned to leave Thursday morning.

Enjoy those who are there and keep up the tradition.

Do not dispair, my friend. This is perhaps a karmic reflection of the passing of our friend Lenny. We didn't know it but the trend began in August…

Danny, we are hoping to see you this winter on our way through. (Sadly, we won't be meeting in Naples this time…)

I hope the health issues we have seen this year will will heal themselves and we can all rebound next year. I would like to be back myself. Now that Liz's father is gone we will have more freedom to travel when we want.

Enjoy your weekend, we're thinking of you all. cheers

Consider this as just a reboot - there were 4 of us at the original HRSP GTG - and 4 now!

GTGs will tend to have attendance up and down; this year's cancellations (Doug, MR, SD, and Deb&Ed) were all caused by external forces. Frowner

Just returned home from the GTG, a little coolant leak problem made the trip exciting but nothing I couldn't handle. I'll write about it elsewhere. The weather was great and the small turnout had a good time. Dinner was at our site instead of the pavilion, since there were only 7 there. Carolyn's lasagna and Rusty's onion soup and beer bread were great as always, and we did some peal and eat shrimp and bbqd smoked sausage in the crock pot. We all ate fine and had a campfire and told lies till well after dark. Thanks to Kiern and Carolyn and Rusty and Don and Lucy for a small but enjoyable GTG.

So sorry we didn't make it. Hoping to see you and Suzy on our way south in Feb, we'll be in touch.

(Did those other "nice people" from Michigan come back this year?) ROTFLMAO

No Michiganders...! The only irritant was the guy who had to drive his loud motorcycle around and around the loop.

Until a new Barth GTG surfaces, I intend to leave this ones data intact as a placeholder.

Curiosity requires that I inquire as to the make of bike and time of day.

I believe Rusty is referring to the Harley with the ape-hangers. The rider certainly didn't fit the image of the bike.
The Michigan people weren't there but the camp host was the same one who falsely accused us of all the screaming last year. We never saw him the whole weekend.
